Essential Hypertension is a clinical condition reflecting an on-going or future risk of cardiovascular disease or nephrological disorder. Earlier studies have been conducted and scope of homoeopathy was assessed in cases of hypertension and management of this clinical condition. The study was on 52 hypertensive patients using generalized homoeopathic medicine i.e, Rauwolfia mother tincture38. After extensive systematic review on various studies conducted to assess the function of potentised homoeopathic medicine in controlling Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP) and Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP), in primary essential hypertension, Homoeopathic dilutions like Nat mur, Calcarea carb, Thuja, Sulphur, Lachesis, Aurum met, Digitalis, Belladona3639 were found to be of great value in the management of Primary Essential hypertension. The prevalence of Hypertension is significant both in urban and rural population.

In this study, it was observed that there was statistically significant reduction in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure of the patient as well as improvement in general well being. Patients not only relieved from their ususal antihypertensives but also got most of their symptoms alleviated.
